All right folks! I want you to read these few lines before you start any translation. It is important if you want to translate as professionnally as possible. Translation might be fun but must not be trifled with.
  1. Read the whole text:
Before putting your pen on the sheet of paper or your fingers on the keyboard, you must read the text that you are going to translate from start to finish. Make sure you fully understand it and use dictionnaries when you feel the need. If some parts of the text remain unclear, ask Rainy.
  2. Start translating:
You understood the text. Now, you are ready to translate. Your first attempt is a word-by-word translation. It helps you make sure you do not forget a single word or idea.
  3. Polish your translation:
This first attempt must never ever be the final product! You now have a text in broken target language. You must use your grammar knowledge as well as your language knowledge and culture to transform this draft into something readable and fluent.
  4. Read over your work:
All right! You finished your translation and it looks almost ready to be submitted. Make sure you read over your work. You might want to improve a sentence that sounds funny or replace a word or idiom you have misplaced. Repeat step 3 and step 4 until you are fully satisfied with your translation.
